Cognitive Ability Testing (CAT Testing):
Rivers Academy West London’s Admissions Policy states that children joining the Academy in Year 7 (2025) must have undertaken a Cognitive Ability Test (CAT) to be considered for a place at the Academy. See below for details of how to book this.

Admissions Timeline for 2024-25
31st October 2024
The Local Authority Common Admissions Form (CAF: Secondary) must be completed and returned to the Local Authority for all admissions.

17th January 2025 – All applicants to the Academy will be required to sit a CAT before 17th January 2025.
3rd March 2025 – Notification of Offer of Places.
Parents/Carers will be informed by London Borough of Hounslow by email to which school they have been allocated.
17th March 2025
This is the last date on which parents/carers are asked to confirm their acceptance of the offer with the Local Authority in which they live.
1st April 2025 – Deadline for lodging an on-time admission appeal.

In-year admissions
The in-year admissions process will be managed by the Academy. All in year applications for a school place must be made to the Local Authority on their online in-year application form. Supplementary Information forms must be returned to the Academy. The Local Authority will inform the Academy of the application and the Academy will inform the Local Authority of the outcome.
